Atlas Creative partnered with iHeart Radio and State Farm to create a tycoon experience inside Fortnite. Leveraging Fortnite's Creative toolset, we crafted an immersive world for fans to experience Coldplay’s new music from their upcoming album Moon Music bridging the gap between music and gaming within the metaverse.

CHALLENGE
iHeart, State Farm, and Coldplay wanted to engage the fanbase in an innovative way, tapping into new technology such as patchwork devices and creating a musical tycoon unlike anything that’s been done before in Fortnite, to reach a new audience globally. The goal was to create a music tycoon that could connect with fans in a new way while they travel through a story listening to new songs from the album—all within Fortnite, a platform that seamlessly blends gaming and entertainment.
SOLUTION
Atlas Creative built a stunning virtual world within Fortnite, designed to place the player in space to follow the theme of the album. We created an immersive virtual experience within Fortnite that captures the essence of Coldplay's upcoming album, "Moon Music." By leveraging Fortnite's Creative tools and Unreal Engine's MetaHuman technology, we've crafted a visually stunning world where fans can interact with a digital version of the band and experience their music in a completely new way.

In collaboration with iHeartRadio and State Farm, Atlas Creative took on the challenge of creating a virtual music tycoon that pushed the boundaries of what was possible within the Fortnite platform. The experience was built using Fortnite’s Creative toolset, with Atlas conscientiously crafting scenes tied to Coldplay’s new album ‘Moon Music’. This level of visual fidelity required us to work deeply with lighting, environments, and interactions to make sure the world felt true to their artistic vision while still delivering the excitement Fortnite players expect.

iHeartRadio saw this as an opportunity to innovate, finding new ways to connect their artists with fans in virtual spaces. The flexibility of the virtual world also allowed for more creative freedom and a faster production timeline compared to a traditional concert tour.
